Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular California Beach
An aircraft hovering near a popular California shoreline abruptly began spiraling wildly, finally dropping height and crashing into a line of palm fronds as spectators watched.
Videos uploaded on the internet show the helicopter starting to spin near Huntington Beach then plunging towards the border of the shore, where it becomes wedged among palm trees and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Information
Emergency responders reported five individuals were taken to hospital including two individuals who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the street were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
